Player of the year 2022/23

Johnny Orr

Last year's awards night

On the 28th of May the club will host their inaugural player of the year awards night. With that in mind let's take a look at who could take home the award after a brilliant season for the saints.

Trevor Carson

Saints stopper Trevor Carson could be in the running for the award. The potential top 6 finish will come from a fantastic defensive effort by the whole team and Goalkeeper Trevor Carson has had a brilliant season. He has kept eight clean sheets so far and has played every minute of the season for the buddies.

Curtis main

The striker has six goals and three assists this season, almost a third of all the goals the saints have scored this season. It's not just goals he brings to the side, Main has an unbelievable work rate for the side, chasing the ball down and pressuring defences into mistakes. He has been a great asset to Stevin Robinsons side this season. It was a comeback season for the striker as he had been on the side lines the past few seasons and hopefully next season he will be even better in black and white.

Marc O’Hara

The force in midfield this season has been a superstar in Paisley. Born in Barrhead, O’Hara is close to home, has settled in perfectly and is already a fan favourite. He has scored five goals this season and has already captained the side numerous times despite only being a buddie for one season. Marc has recently signed a contract extension until 2026 which has been met with great responses by the fans and he could become a cult hero if he keeps this level of form the next few seasons.

Alex Gogic

Defensive midfielder Gogic has been a great force this season, solid in both defence and midfield his flexibility has allowed Robinson to play a number of different formations throughout the season and that cannot be understated. He has also picked up many man of the match awards this season and his crunching tackles have gave the fans in the ground something to cheer about when the goals weren’t coming.

The fans from our social pages think Marc O'Hara deserves to win the award most, but what do you think ? Let us know by voting on the pool below.
