Lifelong Saints fan Brandon gave his thoughts on the match, the season so far, and what he expects to see from the Buddies in the remainder of the season.

As the league is drawing to a dramatic final third games like these can be some of the most important in a season. The Saints took on an out of form motherwell side and the aim was all about getting the win and the three points to keep the push for a top 6 finish strong.

St Mirren defeated Motherwell 1-0 to take all three points in a close run game at the SMISA Stadium.

Striker Curtis Main got the vital goal in the 16th minute of the match as he took his side to a top-four place in the league, the saints leapfrogged Aberdeen as they were beaten by 6 goals to nil in the capital which saw former St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin relieved of his duties as Aberdeen Boss.

A place in the top 6 looks like St Mirren's to lose after a stunning run of results and a 12-game unbeaten run at home this season. As Brandon said: " we'll make top six, Definitely!

For most fans it will hinge on whether they keep hold of key men in the window, Brandon thinks that losing academy graduate Ethan Erhahon would be the biggest loss for the Buddies this window.

Upcoming matches include Hibernian and Motherwell in the league with a trip to Celtic park in the middle for the Scottish cup fifth round tie.
